In the Haze of Lady Blue Eyes

an exploration of a perplexing woman

Frank Dicksee – La belle dame sans merci, c. 1901

She casts a shadow of love

And a shade of hope

On my poor little heart

Lady blue eyes

I met her on a sleepless day

A fiery November's Thursday

Some hundred miles away

Lady blue eyes

She melts me with her gaze

And her stories of age

She's a mystery a haze

Lady blue eyes

Please be mine
