In the end

In the end, the beginning feels like a dream

In the end, the beginning feels like a dream

And the middle plays on an endless stream

You watch happiness drain from your well

You hear the clanging of the warning bell

*************************

In the end, you’ll wish you could rewind the time

As you carry the burden of your favorite crime

Why did you rebuild the walls that crumbled down?

Don’t you know the world has more than one town?

*****************************

In the end, the lines between love and hate will blur

Nothing will mend, for this illness comes with no cure

Dawn fades, and you stand in the blackest of nights

No weapon to battle the demons that stole your lights

****************************

In the end, you’ll wish you could travel back to the start

In the end, you’ll wish you never let love into your heart
