In The Distraction

Who's In The Distraction

By Tony ClarkePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Distracted by hindrances that disrupt my flow

Incessant thoughts that refuse to let go

Struggling to focus on what's at hand

Trapped in a cycle that I can't withstand

Rising frustration as time ticks away

Action needed to seize the day

Clinging to a wellspring of inspiration

Taking deep breaths for concentration, avoiding the noise and the fray

In search of the clarity that will light my way, Illuminated by an ever-present force onward I push with unwavering course

Overcoming distractions, I forge ahead, Navigating through a bustling city So much to see, but I must keep steady

Nearing my goals, no longer filled with dread.

surreal poetry
