In Quiet Memoriam

Standing here on haunted ground, straddling the line between grief and relief,
incessant rivers saturate the ground, though the time spent here's been brief.
Let us bow our heads in memory and sorrow,
even as the sun shines like yesterday and tomorrow.
Now that you're gone, it is only from us your story will speak
'Cause the line between two dates won't contain the answers they'll seek.
Even now, this crowd of impacted souls speaks volumes more than what words on a page can say.
