I sit here watching all the pretty people.

Letting my life pass me by.

Wanting something more from life.

Wanting to be free again.

Is this what it's like to be a caged bird?

Maybe I'm not meant to be happy.

Maybe I should accept my fate.

This life isn't worth living.

And yet death is so far away.

I'm on the losing end of things.

This ship is sinking and I can't get off.

Let me go.

Release me from this prison called life.

Drifting off into the darkness.

Waiting for the silence.

Waiting for the peace.

Yet neither seems to come.
