In love alone, I stand here waiting,
For the one who holds my heart, captivating.
I long for the touch of their hand in mine,
To feel their love, so sweet and divine.
In love alone, I wander through the night,
Lost in thoughts of what could be right.
I yearn for the sound of their voice so true,
To hear them say they love me too.
In love alone, I dream of a life,
Where we are together, as husband and wife.
I imagine a future where we are one,
Living a life full of love and fun.
In love alone, I feel the ache,
Of a heart that's been shattered and left to break.
I try to move on and forget the past,
But my heart refuses to let go at last.
In love alone, I cling to hope,
That someday soon my heart will cope.
That the one I wait for will finally arrive,
And our love will flourish and truly thrive.
In love alone, I find solace in the stars,
As I gaze up at them from afar.
I pray that fate will bring us together,
That our love will last forever and ever.
In love alone, I pour out my soul,
Hoping that someday they'll know.
The depth of my love, so pure and true,
And that they'll feel the same way too.
In love alone, I wait with bated breath,
For the moment when we'll meet again.
And when we do, our hearts will be one,
Forever entwined like two shining suns.
For in love alone, there is no greater power,
Than the strength of a heart that beats every hour.
And though it may seem like a lonely place to be,
Love is all around us if we only choose to see.
So let us embrace this journey of life,
With all its joys and moments of strife.
For in time, we'll find the one we're meant to love,
And our hearts will soar on wings like a dove.
