In Hues Of Gold

A poem

In hues of gold, and crimson bright,

Autumn arrives, with gentle might,

The summer's heat, now laid to rest,

As nature dons, her autumn vest.

---

The sun's embrace, no longer sears,

But casts a glow, that gently cheers,

The air is crisp, with hints of chill,

As leaves begin, to gently thrill.

---

The days grow shorter, nights grow long,

As nature sings, her autumn song,

The birds prepare, for southward flight,

As shadows dance, in fading light.

---

The fields are ripe, with golden grain,

Awaiting harvest, without strain,

The trees adorned, with fiery hue,

As nature bids, the old adieu.

---

Autumn arrives, with gentle grace,

A time of beauty, and embrace,

The summer's fire, now turned to embers,

As nature slumbers, and slowly remembers.

---

So let us welcome, autumn's charm,

With open hearts, and outstretched arms,

For in its beauty, we find rest,

As nature prepares, for winter's test.

---

Autumn arrives, in gentle guise,

A time of change, before our eyes,

A season of beauty, and delight,

As summer bids, its fond goodnight.
