in her clutches

she didn't want me, alive

oh to be a thing worth chasing

soft on soft on soft

i am a mouth on a berry

sweet sanctity

head empty

except for this

wasted dripping

she is following

with something heavy, gripping

to "protect me"

i don't know better so i believe until i'm

falling

i have fallen into what she told me it would be

love given freely

more like love on a leash

now i miss the reprieve

just my mouth

and the berry

empty mind return to me

give me back my sanity

return me to myself

from before she tried to save me

a hunter doesn't keep his prey if it's still living.

heartbreak
