In a Dying Embrace

Returning to dust they crumble together

In a Dying Embrace

In a dying embrace,

they sit side by side,

as the world around them

begins to subside.

The floor crumbles softly,

the walls start to weep,

each moment a whisper,

a promise to keep.

Dust drifts like memories,

heavy in the air,

remnants of laughter

in the silence they share.

With heavy hearts,

they wait for the end,

knowing their love

will be theirs to defend.

As shadows grow longer,

and time slips away,

they cling to each other,

in their own quiet way.

In the face of decay,

as their bodies grow weak,

the bond that only they know ,

Is the truth that they seek.

Though all things will fade,

and life’s light may dim,

together they face

what lies waiting for them.

In their final moments,

they find peace in the dust,

in a dying embrace,

In love they say goodby

As both know that they must

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
