i used to think if I could go back in time

i would whisper in her ear

tell her every step to avoid

send her on the high road

but then I wouldn't exist

and everything I went through would've been for nothing

they were just another piece of the puzzle

and as much as it hurt

i wouldn't be me without them

My inner child screams joyfully as I fall back in love with writing.
