Immutable

Statues in Sand

By The Girl in GreyPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Sauntering spirits of the part could follow you into a grey alleyway

The Piper himself could hold a blade to the jugular in a midnight city

Your entire lobe could want you to be the one to say

Measure your love in hundreds and fifties

I couldn’t save you from yourself

And now, your lane takes a standstill in the past

I split the highway teetering between your heaven and my hell

Hoping it could dash peace particles into our minds at last

I tried to be your friend, but you failed at being mine

All these months pass, and you still wait for that red circle each day

Unable to grasp the opportunity of this ever moving time

Knowing damn well I’ll never again give you the chance to stay

You will never learn the difference between love and stunted infatuation

Immutable statue sinking into the dark desert sand

Unable to escape his irreversible situation

Buts it ok, because I ended what you began

Love always,

Chayle
