Dark mists assembled,

moving through haziness tumbling to hang dull

furthermore, pendulous is not too far off

The breeze whistled under entryways

shaken at firmly shut windows,

tore at the rooftop looking for a free

tile to throw

Then striking enlightenment,

gleaming white jagged streaks,

easing up ribboning the dim sky

Barometric power popped

in the statically charged air.

Trees were excoriated, appendages broke

as the breeze yelled a bad dream

A far off thunder drew closer,

briefly a creepy quiet, tranquility

abruptly a vicious thunderbolt quickly

followed by a weighty deluge of precipitation

The savage breeze facilitated to lash water

against battered window sheets,

until at long last everything that was heard nothing

be that as it may, the consistent drumming of the raindrops

nature poetry
