Ignored Love

The Heartache of Unreciprocated Affection

By LauraPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Ignored love, a silent pain

A love that's lost, a love in vain

It whispers softly in the night

And pleads for recognition with all its might

It speaks of passion, speaks of care

And yet it's met with an empty stare

It asks for nothing more than to be seen

But its voice is lost, in a world so mean

It waits for moments, waits for days

Hoping that soon, it will find its way

But love ignored, just withers away

Leaving a heart, that's filled with decay

It's a love that's pure, a love that's bright

But it's swallowed up, in the dark of night

And though it may never find its way

It will always linger, in the heart that's grey

So here's to the love, that's often ignored

A love that's lost, a love that's stored

A love that's waiting, a love that's pure

A love that will forever endure.
