If You Were Mine
If you were mine, I’d hold you near,
Through every smile, through every tear.
My morning sun, my midnight star,
No matter where, no matter how far.
I’d speak your name like whispered prayer,
A gentle touch, a tender care.
The world could turn, the seasons sway,
But you’d be my night and day.
Your heart would beat a song so sweet,
A rhythm only we could meet.
If you were mine, love’s light would shine,
Forever yours, forever mine.
