Yes;

You've been hurt, used, and abused,

You've been alone;

Left to drown your pain in the rain,

You've been let down;

And you think we're all the same.

Why do I have to fight,

Just to show you this is real?

I'm not like the others my darling,

I can only be me.

If you unlock your heart tonight,

I'll show you my world;

A million candles I would light,

Just to show you my love.

Please take it from me;

This love is more real than you know,

I guess you've heard it all before,

But I can't hide my heart.

We can only show and tell;

But we can't read the future,

All I know is we were mean't to be,

From the start.

So, darling;

I ask you,

Will you please unlock your heart tonight,

And let me show you my world;

We will dance in the moonlight,

And then you will see,

We were meant to be.

    Such a lovely poem about someone who has been hurt and is very untrusting.
