If You Think You Can Forget
A Poem

And if you think you could forget him
by escaping somewhere far,
know that your thoughts and your memories
would always be where you are.
And if you go to an island
where the sun shines on a cloudless sky,
you'd find him there,
for he is there.
And if you go to a mountain
where snow falls and all is white,
still you'd see
that the one who waits for you is he.
And he comes with you,
whether you wander near or far,
and he goes with you,
for he is always where you are.
It is not forgetting then that you need,
neither is it escaping to another place or time,
What your heart desires is to believe
that he has never left you and you shall never part.
