If You Cannot Be the Poet

If you cannot be the poet,

Be then or be the rhyme,

A steady beat that marks the time.

Let your spirit hum and sing,

A quiet joy in everything.

If you cannot write the tale, be the line,

A steadfast guide, a gentle sign.

Hold the dreams of hearts untold,

A silent strength, both warm and bold.

If you cannot craft the song, be the sound,

Just whisper soft where love is found.

A voice that lingers, calm and clear,

A melody that draws us near.

If you cannot shape the dance, be the step,

A steady rhythm others accept.

Lead with grace, both kind and true,

A path that others follow through.

If you cannot light the flame, be the spark,

A glimmer bright within the dark.

A single glow, a guiding clue,

A beacon strong for all who view.

If you cannot be the poet, be the poem,

A place where hearts can freely roam.

Through your being, others find

The gentle beauty of the mind.
