If wishes were fishes

Oceans would be teeming,

If wishes were kisses

I’d believe I was dreaming.

If wishes were dreams

I’d sleep through the day,

If wishes were loving

I’d be feeling okay.

If wishes could travel

I’d be there with you,

If wishes were sensual

I’d give more than a few.

If wishes were coins

I’d be extremely rich,

If wishes were lucky

I’d sew in every stitch.

If wishes were happy

I’d smile all day through,

If wishes were true

I’d never be blue.

***

If wishes were easy

I’d have all I need,

If wishes were magic

I know I’d succeed.

If wishes came true

I’d be somewhere new,

If wishes time travelled

I’d come and find you!
