If The World Ended Tomorrow

a poem on hope

if the world ended art by Solomon

If the world ended, who would I be?

A question that lingers, haunting me.

Would I be a survivor, strong and brave?

Or would I crumble, unable to save?

Would I be a leader, guiding the way?

Or would I be lost, with nothing to say?

Would I be a fighter, battling on?

Or would I surrender, all hope gone?

If the world ended, who would I be?

A question that terrifies, yet sets me free.

For in this moment, I realize,

I have the power to choose my guise.

I could be a hero, saving lives,

Or I could be a villain, causing strife.

I could be a poet, writing verses,

Or I could be a warrior, fighting the curses.

If the world ended, who would I be?

The answer is simple, it's up to me.

For in the face of chaos and despair,

I can choose to be anything, anywhere.

So if the world ended, I know who I'd be,

A survivor, a leader, a fighter, and me.

For in the end, it's not about the role,

It's about the strength within my soul.
