If Poetry were a painting

If poetry were a painting

Would it be a Picasso?

Or a Van Gogh?

Or maybe a Rembrandt?

Maybe it wouldn't be the Mona Lisa

But we might wonder about a Mondrian

Imagine if it were a Cezanne

Or maybe a Caravaggio

Imagine a Boyd

Or a Michaelangelo

Maybe a Vermeer

Imagine a Pollock

Or even a Matisse

Just as poetry can bring us peace

So too could a masterpiece

Could it be words in colours?

Would it be acrylic or oils?

Hopefully not too abstract

But a breakthrough

Imagine the colours

It would never cease to impress

If poetry were a painting

It might be never ending

But it would exceed all expectations

We would never lose fascination

It would only lead to an emotional escalation

Just imagine if poetry were a painting

For Fun
