If Only
My wanting to travel to West Virginia

If only I could travel,
To the Mountain state,
A Land of Great fate,
Wake up in Charleston,
Travel to Wheeling,
All the time,
Lost in a feeling,
That comes with the scenery,
Oh so beautiful,
These are mountains,
I wish I could climb,
They rise high against the sky,
Drive out of town,
Where now?
Oh,
Let's go to Morgantown,
After that my heart being merry,
Where to now?
Let's go to Harper's Ferry,
Right at the confluence,
We sit,
And look out for a bit,
While we wonder,
How beautiful are the rivers,
That flow so majestically,
Everywhere bound,
I hope to visit,
Each and every town,
The rails hauling coal,
Sitting here eating oatmeal by the bowl,
If only,
I could visit West Virginia.
