If only I were there

The world could be mine

A new life to build

A new time to thrive

/

If only I were there

The town could be mine

The rules could be fine

A new time to thrive

/

If only I were there

The a place I could be me

Nobody to shame and nobody to be

A new place to live

/

If only I were there

No time to invent

No place to resent

The world could be mine

I love the idea of escape, starting fresh somewhere you can just be. Beautifully expressed.
