If I Ne'er Again Shall See Thee (Or what I do when I'm procrastinating... Either way)...

If I ne'er again shall see thee,

Then prithee let me be thine Éponine.

Let me give my life so thine shall be happy,

Without an ounce of pain, and me as an angel on whom thou mayest lean.

If I ne'er again shall see thee,

My sunshine would surely disappear,

Leaving only the blackness of night to surround me.

'Tis only the hope of thee that shines, my dear,

As a light at the end of a tunnel, beckoning to me.

Moving me onward and urging me to stay.

For years have I thus lived searching for he

Who radiates such powerful light, wondering what to do if he took it away.

If I ne'er again shall see thee,

Would that the Earth should swallow me whole,

And spare me the heart ache of missing half of me.

Better that I should die than lose the hope that feeds my soul.

If I ne'er again shall see thee,

Everything shall remain the same.

My love for thee shall burn as brightly,

And I shall ne'er forget thy name.

To thee alone shall I always remain true.

And all shall be as it should be,

No matter what fate does or doesn't do.

If I ne'er again shall see thee...
