If Ghosts Are Real
A Poem
By Angel AdagioPublished about a year ago โข Updated about a year ago โข 1 min read

How easy it would be to grieve if part of you still existed with me,
your essence making its presence the moments I needed most; feeling you near,
even if it meant I couldn't hug you again, my heart still would feel your warmth.
Haunt me in my life, my dreams,
anything to feel closer to you.
Show me you're the same as you used to be, your smile still being bright
and let me forget seeing your lifeless body.
Let the pain fade,
bring back the chance for creating new memories,
let me love you till the day that I die,
then pass away together, entering the next life.

Having seen full-body apparitions myself, especially of my beloved aunt shortly after she died, I can relate. I am so sorry for your loss(es). Thank you for sharing this thought-provoking piece.
