Freezing feeling, fiercely foggy
Resetting remembrance
Obstructive observant
Stillness silencing, slightly snowing
Topping, towering

It's intriguing
Chilling covering
Yelling Yetit yodeling

Create constant coldness
One outstanding obstacle
Losing limbs, limiting linguistic
Deaths during, deadly development

When earth freezes our world freezes too
Sometimes our thoughts dose too
A ruff time for some, an enjoyable time for others
Watching the news you here words like zero visibility, icy roads, and the death toll
So, all you can do is pray, and hope for a cheerful holiday season
π©΅
Making snow angels can be fun
Catching snowflake on your tongue
Yes the frost can be so much fun

But don't forget the homeless
Who live in your fun
With very little clothes on
There the ones that have an increased chance of losing a limb
Who suffer in silence

But still, have fun
Enjoy the cold weather
No matter what the icy cold frost brings
Remember how fun it seems

I wasn't around for this challenge, so I thought I would go around and see what poems people wrote. My boys used to make snow angels when it snowed here. Beautiful poem Emily and I like the hearts and the snowflakes between the stanza's. Nicely done!!!
I love that all four words in the first line started with the same letter. It gets the message across really well. I love that in the third group of lines you prepared us to remember the homeless with 'losing, limbs, limiting linguistic' This is a very down to earth poem, capturing both the good and the bad events happening when it's frosty. I loved your take on this challenge and the heart you put into it to bring us this wonderful fresh perspective. I could both feel the chill and see the frost while reading this π€ππ
Beautiful lines. My kids always had fun in the snow, no matter how cold it was. Well done Emily.
Wow! This is frosty fun meets freezing reality! Snow angels, tongue-out snowflakes, and the joy of winterβpaired with a nudge to remember those braving the cold without warmth. A chilly, cheerful, thoughtful mix!βοΈβ
You nailed the Acrostic. My fav is 4th stanza!
This was so beautiful and I especially loved all of your alliterations!
Well done! ππΎππΎππΎ
Some very gorgeous and captivating lines! This has a deepness to it I really enjoyed - wonderful work :)
Frost leaves much room for introspection! Well said, Emily.
Nice job!
Oh, this made me think a lot, as all great poetry should. Loved the tautogram elements (I'm such a sucker for tautograms) and the mix of joyful abandon and the harsher realities for many people. Well done, Emily!
