Camellia
piercing winter gloom camellia blooms softly such a lovely sight. In winter, in the arboretum and the yards in our region, camellias blooms. Camellia is a tea family plant with lovely flowers. In Japan, camellias have been painted very frequently. Here is one by me (watercolor).

This is wonderful, Poppy. I was toying with throwing in a cheeky Icarus poem last minute, but it’d have paled in comparison to this one!

Intriguing take on Icarus… short & sweet.
I see where you're coming from with this, Poppy...without Icarus...flight wouldn't have been thought of. But few people acknowledge that.
