Wandering Hearts, Finding Home

I was a wanderer without a destination,

Feeling broken had become an addiction,

Loneliness had become an obsession,

From Love, I was always on the run.

They say there is silence before the storm,

Little did I know that my life was to transform,

Our eyes met and It felt like a mirror,

What is this illusion, it made me wonder.

I wonder

Why do I need another sunrise,

When You are my own beautiful dusk and dawn,

Why do I need words,

When silence is the most beautiful language We have known.

I wonder

How it feels to have a home built with love,

Dreams fill Our roof above,

The walls painted by Our imperfections,

Every nook and corner filled with Our aspirations.

All the desires in Your chest I want to own,

All the insecurities of mine, I have shown,

I close my eyes for I have known,

I have someone to call as my own.

“Feeling broken had become an addiction” This is all too familiar for me.

Beautiful words of poetry. Nothing like hopes and dreams fulfilled.
