I woke up last night,
And I had such a fright;
A spirit made my husband fall,
And I screamed, though no one
Heard my call.
A hand crawled up my bed,
And I bit its fingers before
It could reach my head.
No wonder no one heard my scream,
I was right in the middle of a bad dream.
Then I saw moonlight pouring through
My Window;
And crawling was a huge black widow!
Then by the light of the full moon,
I woke up feeling like such a loon!
I looked around, but I saw nothing,
And I heard no sound,
Then I told myself,
"It was just a dream, you silly hound!"
