I will wait by the windowpane

Man's best friend

By Taylor WardPublished about a year ago 1 min read

By the window,

each day begins with a vigil,

a devoted sentinel awaiting

your return.

In the quiet of mornings,

their eyes are soft lanterns

guiding you through the door,

a world built on every tail wag

and the unspoken promise

of loyalty.

Their grin is a beacon,

a testament to the joy

woven into each moment shared.

Every trot beside you,

every beat of their heart,

a silent prayer

for your presence.

Through seasons of waiting,

they are a constant shadow,

a faithful companion who finds

the essence of their world

in the simple act of being with you.

In their gaze, there is an endless ocean

of gratitude,

each day’s end marked by the same quiet

anticipation,

a boundless love that echoes

in the rhythm of their breath.

You are their universe,

the center of every wag

and every affectionate nuzzle.

In their devotion,

there is a grace

that humbles,

a reminder of the pure,

unending bond

shared between kindred spirits.

This made me smile. Such a pure form of love, indeed. Lovely writing.
