I will not give up
Though time is unrelenting
Despite the setbacks,
We scream out our defiance:
I’m not giving up…

I’m not giving up!
But soon we awake to see:
We’re fifty years old,

And life’s passed us by,
With no progress to our goals,
And Death closing in.
