I Will Feel Poor That Day

When my body turns against me

I will not feel poor,

when I am left,

with meager money,

but the day,

my body turns against me—

when my eyes blur,

glands ache,

hormones act weird,

joints creak—

I will be truly afraid,

as if I’ve seen a ghost.

I mean it—

nothing is more important,

than a healthy body.

It is the structure,

that houses a healthy mind,

the vessel that makes us,

emotionally intelligent,

capable of loving others.

Don’t lose it at any cost,

don't be gullible,

don't pick bad habits,

don't ignore manual

of he immune system,

don’t be poor.

Save your body

like you would guard,

an expensive, exotic,

fragile, ceramic vase.

It's even more precious,

which does not fix,

if shattered,

intentional or accidental,

does not matter.
