I went to therapy today.
The long grass tickled my bare feet.
The breeze danced with my hair.
I told the butterflies my problems.
They reminded me to that I’m allowed to feel safe.
To show my beauty.
To spread my wings like they do.
Their crisp white wings.
The orange and black monarch.
Carefully chosen flowers.
The bees buzzed their advice too.
A world they rebuild with each pollination.
Yellow dandelions gave hope for sunshine.
Your weeds are my tea.
Their white seeds echo rebirth.
Darkness could just mean that I’m planted.
Waiting for the right time to bloom.
The birds whistled their songs.
Checked in with each other.
Their built in support system.
The beetles in the long grass buzz.
Wanted to be heard.
Hid their face, but told their story.
The quiet calm.
The full stop on my spiral.
Deep breaths of peace.
To just pause the day.
For a second or for hours.
The sun warmed my skin.
Like a hug from that one person who always melts your troubles away.
The distant ocean filled my lungs with salt air.
Cleansed away the fears and anger.
My feet were grounded.
Connected to the earth.
Kept me safe.
The breeze gently pulled away the sticky, embedded anxiety.
Distant church bells rang.
Their chime brought me back to the present.
Like waking up from a deep restful sleep.
Ready to face what comes my way.
I went to therapy today.
She was beautiful.

Lovely. I could feel Nature's peace settling over me. The best therapy. Nice job.
