I want to hold your hand.

But if we are out in public will this cause hatred.

During Pride

supermarkets and brands fly their flag,

saying they support us.

Until the back lash begins,

Walmart’s hidden aisle

The fights with in the community not my kind of gay.

We should be united, we should show the haters.

We can’t be divided,

I stand with my brothers, sisters, non binary siblings, gender fluid, trans and Ace.

I fight against bi erasure.

You need support
you need a family,

We are here for you.

But still I find the hesitation to take your hand.

I want to shout my love for you

But don’t want to be reduced to the token gay.

When people ask: who’s the man, who is the top, who is the bottom?

Am I allowed to ask you, your positions?

Is the situation not the same when you ask have you tried dating the opposite sex?

If I then ask if you’ve tried dating the same?

Do you peg?

My love life is not a kink for your discussion

Love is Love

All that’s important is consent.

We aren’t here for titillation.

We aren’t your favourite genre on Redtube

I’m living my life and finding my love.

I will hold your hand and risk the hate.

I’m not ashamed of who I am

Or who I love.

So my love want to hold hands?
