if I take all the love I have for her
and leave it somewhere safe-
in my art, with my friends, and, pressed between paper
and when i feel that righteous lure
to prove my self, to chase-
if I take all the love i have for her
because to love is just my nature
find joy in choosing not to wait-
and start to act in character
i'll replace her "maybe" with my "never"
because i know what i can change-
if i take all the love i have for her
though, there's nothing scarier
than letting go of -just in case-
if i take all the love i have for her
that will be the cure.
