Iโ€™ve been standing up straight for far too long,

the lack of respect and attention is altogether wrong.

The circulation in my spine is nonexistent,

as I feel jealous and illy reminiscent.

I want to be held and gently considered,

but instead, Iโ€™m yellowed and withered,

for I am a dusty old book, stuck on the corner of a shelf, that hasnโ€™t been read in a very, very long time.

Ohh, this is both deep and dramatic. I mean, who wouldnโ€™t want to rescue that poor dusty soul from its shelf-bound sorrow?

What book would you want to be, J? Les Miserables? Iโ€™d probably be the Catcher in the Rye

This makes me want to explore a book store to see what treasures wait to be uncovered
