I Used to Like Parties More

Reflection

By Rowan Finley Published 6 years ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

I used to like parties more, but now I'd rather stay at home and just chill...

No shocking, startling thrill.

There is not much more appealing than reading a book in the coziness of home, or spending time deep in thought, or writing my every notion in a leather journal. Home is where my heart beats best,

Where I find the greatest rest.

When I am away, the noise just seems too loud and there are too many unpredictable variables which I do not care to be prepared for...

Boy, do I sound like a bore,

But I don't care; I am what I am and is that.

Turn the page.

I can relate to the shift in preferences. There’s a special kind of peace that comes with slowing down and enjoying the comfort of home. Do you think you’ve found new ways to have fun or relax that match this quieter vibe, or are you still figuring it out?
