I Took a Cab to Nowhere

A Poem

I took a cab to nowhere

’Cause I just want to ride along…

I’d like to look out of the window

As I put my headphones on.

Don’t ask me where I’m going,

I really cannot tell…

Just drive around and let me,

Let me tell you when we get there.

For once, I don’t want to know it,

Don’t want to see too far ahead…

For once, I’d like to go somewhere,

Instead of crying on my bed.

So I took a cab to nowhere;

It’s the perfect day to ride…

The rain is pouring while my heart is aching,

And I’ve got no better place to hide.
