I Thought The Rain Knew
Poetry on Blessings
Blessings can be disguised, indeed. Michelle Liew

Gold against my skin,
Its touch cool, assuring,
Bringing fortune as it dropped.
π€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉπ€π€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉ
Then came silver,
Wrapping, a shawl,
Comfort around my head.

Then-rust fell.
π€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉπ€π€πΉπ€πΉπ€πΉ
The sky turned sour.
Petals turned black.
I had thought the rain knew my heart.

Beautiful work, Michelle; that closing line is a deep, deep well of reflective emotion!
That was so poignantly beautiful. Loved your poem!
I wish golden rain would rain! We could all use a rain shower! Wonderful!
