I Still Believe

Heart pebbles

I try to hold on

to your heart

I hear echoes

of your past,

no waterfall

to drown your dreams,

and yet no rainbows calls

for love and patience.

***

I care more than you know,

I let the evening light

hug soul,

in purple glow

let wishes fly back home,

where one road used to end

only to start again

holding hands,

all tomorrows

coming to stay

inside a smile.

***

I didn't know your song,

it felt like dust

coming to rest,

in silent shadows, I stepped on,

and then silence,

in amber greeting

took my hand,

spirit rested before moonlight

flowers to care

for love.

***

I long for different road

I listen to each pebble tell

of what could be

and didn't stay,

linger for just one moment,

take wind apart,

set soul free,

let heart glow

beyond soul letters

I believe,

there's still my hope

your home

our love.

Amy ~ As a rather 'staccato' style writer. It's so lovely to see how you make everything so 'Light and Airy.' And, I probably never uttered that remark before; it just felt right to say - I like your heart - Thanks for the the smile: "If just for that Moment."
