staring at myself
getting lost
in wide
twitching eyes
and gaping
contorted mouth
wild flowing hair
pinned back
still flying round
my tear streaked
sweating face
like a cross section
of a sedimentary lake bed
monstrous noises
terrorize me
screaming?
laughing?
no way of telling
camera flashes
temporarily
erase my countenance
from the window
and chrome bits
no matter how
I cry and plead
there is no escape
no assistance
that is something
from the movies
or TV
no high speed chase
to find me
they know where I am
they let me go
