I Said NO

Hello, emergency service,

which do you require

police ambulance or fire?

I couldn’t answer,

he’s raped me I said.

The voice said,

are you injured ?

I said no,

it’s only tears I have bled.

the ambulance and police

all arrived at the same time.

they took me to hospital,

a police doctor was called.

The morning after pill I swallowed

oh god,

I thought he was nice.

he raped me,

I said No.

he didn’t stop.

I said No.

Six months have passed

he still hasn’t been found

they must think it’s my fault,

for messing around.

I see a doctor now

every month or two,

So this is what

a dating app can do.

I wake each day,

but the night never leaves.

My mind is a dark foggy place,

my heart broken in bits

They say I’ll heal,

I don’t know how

The memory stays,

I’m still broken now.

Good job in describing such a crime that hurts in all ways coming and going.
