I remember when

America used to be free

You could stroll down the street

Without being on CCTV

Homeland Security Act

An attack

Your rights and mine

The land of the “free” no longer shines

From sea to sea

A land filled with misery

Divided by hate and the color of your skin

And the LGBT just can’t win

Churches

Perpetuate hate

The million dollar pastor

Preaches sermons on money

To get it much faster

Blind congregations

A nation built on Christian values

While human beings are undervalued

America will fry

Racism a lie

A social construct

Rich white men corrupt

Racism built into our society

ALL humans were made to be FREE!

America so divided

Masks and no masks collided

One more petty reason

People feel like they’re in a prison

A “Karen” if you don’t

Mocked and shamed

Spreading COVID-19 you’ll get blamed

Our own citizens dying in our streets

The homeless have nothing to eat

Our cities are burning

So much hate is churning

But please,

Bring those “Karens” to their knees

Issue so unimportant

Those ridiculous TikTok vids so boring

If you aren’t bringing America together

Take a seat

This whole nation can feel the heat
