I pretended that You Loved Me
Two worlds driftted apart

I pretended that You Love Me
The sky is heavy, starless, bare,
A world consumed by thick despair.
Each broken cloud, each bitter sigh,
Illustrates the love you won’t deny.
Your shadow lingers, cold and near,
A haunting proof, a whispered fear.
In every step, in every breath,
I feel your love, a quiet death.
The rain falls sharp, it cuts, it stings,
The weight of sorrow your love brings.
No joy, no warmth, just heavy chains,
A love that lives in endless pain.
And as I stand in this endless night,
I see your love in the absence of light.
Not warmth, not peace, but a tethered plea—
Your love is the dark that consumes me.
