A Friend's Unspoken Hope

I feel like a ball of worry during the day,

And a block of sadness at night, I must say.

This happens when I've lost someone so near,

It brings on anxiety and sheds a silent tear.

To my friend who's no longer here,

If you're reading, know I hold no anger, my dear.

I can't be mad at a creation so divine,

Instead, I'm sorrowful, like a bird losing its line.

I understand, you've become internet-bound,

I've been a victim, my sister, too, was spellbound.

But completely leaving me, that's hard to cope,

It feels like losing a part of my hope.

You were more than a friend, felt like family,

I love you more than any lover could be.

You're like a clever brother, a surprising find,

A mix of Greek Gods, Ares, Coeus, Eloes combined.

So sweet, so brave, smarter than any boy I've known,

Perfect in every way, in every zone.

I wish you'd return, though it's okay if you won't,

But more than anything, I wish you joy to confront.

I hope you're happy, safe from any hate,

Your future shining bright, becoming truly great.

Growing up to be a perfect gentleman, a soul so pure,

Loved by all, a dream that'll endure.

Even if we may never talk again,

I'll pray and hope for you, my friend.

I love you, and I believe your life will be grand,

Your family, friends, and you will be great, I understand.
