Take a journey with me

Take a look at the snow around us

So graceful and harmless

Falling away in little droplets

No two quite the same

Like you

A true individual

You fell in the snow that day before I saw you

Limping across the ice outside the market

You appeared in my rearview, a shadow

I could've ran you over but that didn't stop you

I'm glad I stopped before I hit you

I got out to check if you were okay

But I met the most beautiful face

The sky was grey but

I could see a clear day in your eyes

Little chocolate sunsets

Wide and tired

You said you were fine

But I took the opportunity to give you my number anyway

Hoping it's a reasonable excuse that I,

“Just want to be sure you're okay.”

You squinted

But took it anyway
