I'm tired. I'm tired. I'm tired. I'm tired.

I don't want to be anything but horizontal,

yet I want to do everything all at once.

I want to read books, and cook, and workout and drive

but I'm so tired. I'm tired. I'm tired.

What is this?

Is this getting old? But I'm only 35.

People say I'm young, but it might as well at the middle of my life.

Or I might die tomorrow or in 8 years,

you never know.

There's so much to do and see, I can't stop

but oh, I just want to be stretched out on the floor.

I want to sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep.

Forever.

My eyes are closing down, I'm drifting away.

But why am I still here, typing this

instead of going to sleep because I'm tired. I'm tired.

I'm so freaking tired.

Gurl, I'm 35 too and this was soooo relatable! 35 feels like the new 50 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think we all go through times that we feel like we are in a rut and just plain tired of the same routine. I just went through a time like this, and now I am rearranging my bedroom and changing small things around. Going to start writing and reading more to share. Good job.

Lol...did we do a mindswap thing? This reads like my mind, 100% of the time. Like and I'm 45...so even closer to death haha. It made me laugh, just cos I feel seen. I hate sleep though, like with a passion, I appreciate rest, but for me sleep means night terrors, nightmares etc. Thank you for sharing this and just keep going - Imola The Poet. Can I ask something really stupid - is Imola pronounced as it's written - like Im-oh-la? Sorry. ha. Also.. how do you pronounce Toth? Is it Toth as written or is there an interesting pronunciation. Anyway, loved your poem as always, great insight and relatable and sorry you feel so tired and so harrassed by life but also not harrassed! :)
