I’m so tired

I’m so tired, My mind, can’t even remember when breakfast was this morning

I’m so tired, My mama had to slap me out of my daydream and out of bed

I’m so tired, My douve weighed down on me like a ton of dusty red bricks

I’m so tired, My ears I didn’t even hear the sweet summer bird chirp

I’m so tired, My feet got caught onto every creaking step on the floor

I’m so tired, My eyelids had extra carry on luggage to carry today

I’m so tired, My body didn’t wanna wake up from my sleep’s deadly silent bliss

I’m so tired, My mind couldn’t think for itself

I’m so tired, My mama couldn’t even understand her sadness for me

I’m so tired, My douve kept me locked in my bed

I’m so tired, My ears couldn’t hear my own cries for help in the distance

I’m so tired, My feet couldn’t carry me through my day

I’m so tired, My eyelids didn’t even want to see the next day

I’m so tired, My body couldn’t do it today

I’m so tired.
