I’m Sorry/Förlåt
A bilingual prose poem in English and Swedish
In English:
I’m sorry for being such a people pleaser. It just comes naturally to me and I’m going to have to stand my ground at one point in my life. I’d be a grumpy bear if I keep living to impress the world.
In Swedish:
Förlåt för att jag är en sådan folksvänligare. Det kommer bara naturligt för mig och jag kommer att behöva stå fast vid ett tillfälle i mitt liv. Jag skulle bli en tjurig björn om jag fortsätter leva, du imponerar på världen.

Dear 25-Year-Old Me
So far, I had a phenomenal year full of learning, happiness, personal development, and magic! I had heaps of goods and bads every day, and I allowed the bads to occur for a reason: to continue learning, developing, and being okay with making the odd mistake here and there. It was a rough start to the year, but I managed to find my way around, and kept doing what makes me thrive and proud of myself. I’m proud of myself for getting through this tough start to the year.

The steps to losing a child
Step One: Lose a child. Not what anyone wants to happen and nothing you can do to change it, but you can go through steps to becoming happy again. You can go through steps to loving again. You can go through steps to become a new you because after losing a child you will never be the same person you once were.
