I'm Not Crying

"I'm not crying, I promise you,

These tears aren't mine, they can't be true.

Just a trick of light, a speck of dust,

A fleeting moment, a wandering gust.

I'm not crying, it's just the rain,

Falling gently, masking the pain.

A silver shimmer on my cheek,

A silent story I cannot speak.

I'm not crying, it's just the breeze,

Whispering secrets among the trees.

It caught my eye and lingered there,

A fleeting touch, a breath of air.

I'm not crying, it's just the night,

With stars that glisten, soft and bright.

They mirror thoughts I cannot say,

In silent echoes, they drift away.

I'm not crying, it's just the past,

A fleeting memory that couldn't last.

It visits me with tender grace,

A shadowed whisper, a ghostly trace.

I'm not crying, I promise this,

It's just a dream, a faded kiss.

A moment's pause, a silent sigh,

A fleeting glance, a sweet goodbye.

I'm not crying, believe me still,

It's just the world, it's gentle will.

A soft caress, a tender plea,

I'm not crying, it's just... me."
