I'm My Own Best Friend

A poem about how I love to be alone and how I embrace it

I admire myself

because

I'm my own

best friend.

I'm as gorgeous

as a polished silver gem

and bright like

a thousand books.

I party by myself

because

I'm my own

best friend.

I serve whatever

my taste buds

wish for.

I hang out by myself

because

I'm my own

best friend.

I take myself to

all the enchanting destinations

in my city

in which I call

my home.

I hold my own hands

because

I'm my own

best friend.

I squeeze myself

like I'm squeezing

a juicy lemon

in my soft, chubby and feminine hand.

I hug myself,

because

I'm my own

best friend.

I treat myself

like I'm my own

little baby doll.

I cuddle with myself

because

I'm my own

best friend.

I'm my own version

of my

childhood stuffed animal.

I support myself

because

I'm my own

best friend.

I'm my own version

of a nurse,

therapist,

doctor

and teacher.
